Not that anyone actually reads this blog, but here are a couple funny political links for anyone who might: "White House West" (with Will Ferrell as George W.) - give this time to load in the browser or right click the link and "save as."

and just to be "fair and balanced" - here's a Kerry one called "What does John Kerry have in common with cicadas?"

holy crap, I'm finding some awesome bands that are from here (Denver/Aurora), and I'm gonna get to go see them all play within the next week. 4 rock shows in a week...now that's how I like to do it. If you're up for some hardcore/metal, check out Fear Before the March of Flames and Lenore, and if you're up for more indie rock/post-hardcore/emo stuff, check out Fallen Stars Forgotten and Grace Like Gravity. Seriously, these are the best "new" bands I've heard in a long while.

Oh yeah, and just to rub it in...I get to go see Face to Face (on their FINAL tour) and My Chemical Romance on the 28th.

Last night I drove by Union Station, the state capitol, and Coors Field - all of which are quite striking all lit up at night. A lot of the cool clubs and bars are downtown within a few blocks of Coors Field, so Amy and I went to check a couple out. We went to this cool dance club called the Rise. They had some professional dancers there (no, not strippers) who were fun to watch. One of the guy dancers was awesome...if you could cross Usher's dance moves with Michael Jackson's, then you'd have some idea of how this guy could dance.

And I guess I will have to adjust to mixed drinks being $9 and bars only having Coors Light (no Bud Light), since Pete Coors owns this town. That's alright though...the Luxor in Lubbock is a hole in the wall compared to the stylin' (and clean) clubs here.

I'm finally back to the blog after quite a while. I would say that I'm now a Coloradian, but I'm pretty sure I'll always be a Texan no matter where I live. Now that my internet access is up and my laptop is fixed, be ready for more posts and updates and such. It's nice to have TV again and be back online so I feel like I actually know what's going on in the world.

Last week, Aurora (where I live) had a really bad storm. Amy and I were coming back from the grocery store, and when we were taking the bags up to her apartment, the city's tornado sirens actually started going off. Since we didn't have TV, we were pretty clueless to what was going on. But one of our neighbors that we met was very nice to come up and warn us that we were under a tornado warning. We later found out that there had been a horizontal funnel cloud (a very rare occurrance) very close to where we live. Ok, that turned into a longer digression than I had planned.

over and out.
